Every DC TV Show Available At Launch on DC Universe

DC Entertainment's new subscription service, DC Universe, is set to launch on September 15 and will have plenty of classic and recent DC TV shows available to watch right away. The first new live-action show developed exclusively for DC Universe, Titans, won't premiere until mid-October, but in the meantime DC fans can enjoy everything from the obscure and forgotten (like the Birds of Prey TV show) to nostalgic favorites (like Batman: The Animated Series).

DC Universe's launch date was officially announced during the first episode of a news show called DC Daily, which will be a successor to DC All Access. The first episode was hosted by Kevin Smith, and co-hosts will include John Barrowman (who played Malcolm Merlyn in Arrow) and Harley Quinn Smith (who guest-starred in Supergirl season 2).

A subscription to DC Universe will cost $7.99 a month, or $74.99 a year, and will include access to a selection of TV shows, movies, and "must-read" comics - though notably it won't include recent movies like Man of Steel or Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, or Arrowverse TV shows like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. If you're eager to jump into DC Universe right away, here's a full list of the TV shows that will be available at launch.

Batman: The Animated Series - The critically-acclaimed cartoon that ran on Fox Kids between 1992 and 1995, and includes classic episodes like the Mr. Freeze-focused "Heart of Ice" and Dick Grayson's origin story "Robin's Reckoning.

Batman Beyond - A follow-up to Batman: TAS set in a futuristic Gotham, Batman Beyond sees an elderly Bruce Wayne training a new Batman to take up his legacy.

Birds of Prey - A short-lived and little-remembered live-action show featuring Huntress, Oracle, and Dinah Lance as its heroines, with Harley Quinn plotting against them while still maintaining her public persona as a psychiatrist.

Constantine - Another short-lived series, though Matt Ryan's portrayal of rough-edged magician John Constantine proved popular enough to survive its cancellation, with Ryan going on to play the character in The CW's Arrowverse.

Justice League - This animated series aired in the early 2000s and featured a lineup of classic characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter.

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman - Blending superhero antics with office romance, this 1990s TV show starred Dean Cain as Clark Kent and Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane, and ran for four seasons.

Super Friends - DC Universe will offer all nine seasons of this old-school Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, which ran from 1973 to 1986 and introduced the world to Wonder Dog.

Teen Titans - This 2003 cartoon series ran for five seasons and featured a superhero team made up of Robin, Raven Beast, Starfire and Cyborg.

Wonder Woman - Starring Lynda Carter in the title role, this fondly-remembered 1970s series ran for three seasons and pioneered the ultimate superhero transformation effect, with Carter spinning around on the spot and quickly changing from her civilian clothes to her Wonder Woman costume.

Young Justice - An animated series that premiered in 2010 and featured young superheroes Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis. The show originally ran for two seasons, and DC Universe will revive it with a new series called Young Justice: Outsiders, which is expected to debut in January 2019.
