A viral marketing website for Godzilla: King of the Monsters reveals new information on the movie's new monsters, including an over-powered Ghidorah that can tear open the atmosphere. Ghidorah - a three-headed kaiju - is one of the most iconic monsters created by Toho, and he's often depicted as Godzilla's arch nemesis. That's why fans were excited when it was announced that the three-headed beast would be featured in Legendary Pictures and Michael Dougherty's Godzilla 2, an upcoming sequel to Gareth Edwards' 2014 Godzilla film.
Leading up to the film's first trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Warner Bros. Pictures launched a new website for Monarch Sciences, giving fans a chance at uncovering new info about the new monsters - Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah - while also tracking Godzilla's journey across the Pacific Ocean towards California. In addition to teasing the sizes, origins, and various other details about each monster, a lot of information was secured behind multi-level security clearances, the highest being Crimson. No one was able to crack the code until today.

Warner Bros. released a new teaser today hyping up Godzilla: King of the Monsters' trailer release, and the Crimson security clearance ID number - 251720614 - was buried within the teaser. Using that ID number unlocks several new bits of information on each monster, but the most interesting is for Ghidorah, who is being hyped up as an epic villain in the sequel. Check out Ghidorah's description below:
"Muscle tendons on the wings are so hyper-tensile that their massive aerodynamics could generate hurricane-force winds when in flight. Coupled with its body’s electro-receptor molecular biology capable of conducting electrical currents, water vapor in the air would be heated at extreme levels creating its own localized storm system as it travels. Simply put, if Monster Zero were to fly again, the stratosphere would be torn open by an otherworldly tempest of thunder and lightning our sky has never seen. Cryptolinguistics has analyzed translations of every worldwide case study of Monster Zero in the Monarch database across tens of thousands of years. The ancients called it Ghidorah."
Ghidorah's description mostly describes the character's biological makeup as well as its unique power set, such as being able to emit electrical currents. For those that aren't aware of Ghidorah's history, his powers in the upcoming movie fall in-line with his powers from past installments from Toho. While Ghidorah was first introduced with the powers of flight and shooting out gravity beams, he has evolved over time and is now able to create lightning bolt projectiles... on occasion. What's interesting about the above description, though, is how Ghidorah's body interacts with the atmosphere, creating "localized storms" as it travels.
According to the viral website, Ghidorah is found by Monarch enclosed in "a glacial tomb of ice" in Antartica. Of course, something happens in the sequel that awakes the beast from hibernation (or cryo-sleep?) that brings him in direct contact with Godzilla. But, in doing so, Ghidorah could potentially tear open the stratosphere with an "otherworldly tempest of thunder and lightning our sky has never seen." That alone is enough to get fans excited about Ghidorah's inclusion in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. But only time will tell if the wait was worth it.
