San Diego Comic-Con 2018 will feature an interactive experience centered around NBC’s The Good Place. The Good Place premiered on NBC in 2016. It follows Kristen Bell's Eleanor Shellstrop as she wakes in the Good Place (ie: heaven) after dying on Earth. There she meets the architect of her new environment, Michael, played by Ted Danson. William Jackson Harper’s Chidi Anagonye, Jameela Jamil’s Tahani Al-Jamil and Manny Jacinto’s Jason Mendoza are also new residents of the Good Place, who find themselves constantly drawn to both Eleanor and each other as the series progresses.

The Good Place is currently going into its third season. The first season dealt with Eleanor thinking she was mistakenly sent to the Good Place and trying to become a better person worthy of being there with Chidi’s help. It ended with the shocking reveal that the Good Place neighborhood they were inhabiting was actually part of the Bad Place. Michael, who was previously believed to be on their side, was in truth a demon who planned the entire scenario as a way to torture Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason. Season 2 dealt with the fallout of that revelation. Season 3 promises even more shocking reveals.

According to TV Line, NBC is recreating the Good Place neighborhood in the Gaslamp Square in front of the Hard Rock and Omni hotels at Comic-Con. The feature is described as NBC’s “largest interactive fan experience yet.” Fans can spend the weekend taking photos in the series’ memorable locations and participate in exclusive video opportunities. There will also be exclusive giveaways and a digital takeaway for visitors. You can avoid the long lines by pre-registering for the experience starting on Wednesday, July 11 at thegoodplacesdcc.com. Tin Fish restaurant will also become part of the immersive experience, transforming into "Good Plates.” It  will feature special menus and decor. Half of the proceeds from the special menu will go to No Kid Hungry, a charity aimed towards ending childhood hunger in America.

In addition to the interactive environment, fans can also attend The Good Place panel on Saturday, July 21 at 11 am PT in the Indigo Ballroom. Stars of the series Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D’Arcy Carden - as well as executive producers Michael Schur, Morgan Sackett and Drew Goddard - will all be there to break down the first two seasons. It'll also be the best place to get a sneak peak at what season 3 will offer.

San Diego Comic-Con offers a variety of interactive experiences in addition to their panels. The Good Place neighborhood will give fans the chance to step into a show they love and explore the environment as if they were one of the residents of the neighborhood initially inhabited by Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason. With all the excitement happening at the Con, it might well be a welcomed place to rest and take in the sights, as well as get cool fan swag.
