Although Batwoman will join the CW’s Arrowverse in the network’s next big crossover, don’t expect Batman to make his first appearance any time soon.
“Batwoman lives in Gotham,” CW president Mark Pedowitz said during the Television Critics Association summer press tour, according to TVLine, “but there are no plans at this time to have Batman appear.”

Although Batman won’t appear on-screen on the CW, Pedowitz did remind fans that the character “already exists in the Arrowverse,” referencing Oliver Queen making mention of Bruce Wayne in the Arrow Season 6 episode “Tribute.” Following that reference, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim went on to claim the Dark Knight wouldn’t appear in the Arrowverse.
The CW is currently developing a television series focused on Batwoman and searching for an actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 25 and 29 who is lesbian so as to accurately depict the Kate Kane from the DC Universe .
