When Batwoman arrives in the Arrowverse as part of The CW’s annual superhero crossover, she’ll be greeted by the casts of The Flash, Supergirl and, of course, Arrow. However, whether the time-tossed heroes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will get to know Gotham’s caped crusader is uncertain, as Legends is not scheduled to be involved in next fall’s event storyline.
According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the ensemble series will not take part in the yearly crossover in 2018, though the report does not specifically rule out characters from the show making an appearance in the storyline.

Of course, even if fans don’t get the anticipated Batwoman/White Canary throw down they’ve been dreaming of, there will be ample opportunity for that clash in 2019 and beyond. It was announced yesterday that The CW is actively developing a solo series starring Batman’s cousin, with an eye on getting it on TV at some point next season.
This version of Batwoman, Kate Kane, was introduced in 2006 as a socialite who dons a cape and cowl to fight crime in Gotham City. The logline for the new series describes her as “an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet: in a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
Batwoman is being overseen by producer Greg Berlanti, and written by Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries). She will executive produce alongside Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. If ordered by The CW, Batwoman would join Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Black Lightning on the network’s slate of DC-based series.
