Better Call Saul Season 4 Gets A Bloody New Trailer

Better Call Saul has released its first full trailer for the upcoming launch of season 4. Following the release of the brief 15 second Better Call Saul teaser last week, this latest full length trailer gives fans the first in-depth look into what this season holds for viewers. And it looks to be an intense one.

Last season was a big one. When we left season 3 behind, Chuck (Michael McKean) had suffered a crushing defeat from his brother Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk), ending his life voluntarily in a house fire in the final moments. This is sure to set up an interesting dynamic for Jimmy McGill and all concerned as they cope with his passing, as well as begin to pick up the pieces left behind. Kim (Rhea Seehorn) found herself overworked, falling sleep at the wheel and crashing any chance she had with a potential client. Mike (Jonathan Banks) and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) had begun to tip toe a business relationship with one another, just as a battle between drug lords Gus and Hector Salmanac (Mark Margolis) was about to begin. Needless to say, season 3 had dished out a lot of material in a short period of time - setting up a dynamic and potentially eventful season 4.

The trailer, released by EW, begins with our first look at Jimmy, formulating plans to survive his one year suspension from practicing law and as smooth talking as ever, "You know why God made snakes before lawyers? He needed the practice." Watch the full trailer on EW's site.

From here on, we see the potential snakes and danger this season holds. Jimmy in a sweatsuit, inviting people into his office late night alongside a car seems to be continuing the slimy path he has been embarking on. Mike and Gus each seem to be at wits end, determined to have things go their way, while Kim, still mangled from falling asleep at the wheel last season, yells at Howard, "Fair? Let's talk about fair!" Intertwined throughout each of these are images of guns, Nacho, a cousin and a sharp pan out that reveals one bloody massacre. While no reference is made to the passing of Chuck, there is no doubt it will not be forgotten.

Breaking Bad and its prequel spinoff Better Call Saul have both found themselves in the limelight in recent days as fans and media outlets celebrate 10 years since Breaking Bad first aired. While many interviews for the anniversary have looked to the past, that did not stop anyone from looking towards the future, expressing their wishes for what they would like to see ahead on Better Call Saul. When interviewed, Vince Gilligan expressed he "desperately wants" Walter White and Jesse on Better Call Saul, the eagerness of fans to see the dynamic duo back in action only heightened as Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston both stated they would appear if asked. The show has been incorporating characters from its predecessor over the course of three seasons, with a big addition expected this year, so anything is possible.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see what comes to pass as they countdown to the season 4 premiere of Better Call Saul next month. Until then, all we can do is speculate on the events that will come to pass, the cameos that may occur and replay the trailer to find as much of the littlest tidbits of information possible.
