DC Universe’s live-action Doom Patrol TV series has added Diane Guerrero (Orange is the New Black) in the series regular role as Crazy Jane.
Created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case in 1989, Crazy Jane suffers from multiple-personality disorder and, as a result of the gene bomb unleashed by the alien Dominators in DC’s Invasion! event, each of her 64 personalities manifests a different superpower.

Guerrero’s version of Crazy Jane appearing on Doom Patrol sticks pretty close to her comic book counterpart, as the official description of her character still has 64 personalities, minus any influence from the alien Dominators.
Crazy Jane’s character description reads, “Crazy Jane is an unlikely hero suffering from the world’s most severe case of multiple personality disorder. Each of her 64 distinct personas manifest a different super power making Jane the Doom Patrol’s most powerful member…and also its most unstable.”
Along with her role as Maritza Ramos on the Netflix series, Orange is the New Black, Guerrero has also appeared on Jane the Virgin for The CW and the CBS comedy, Superior Donuts.
