Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor Alan Tudyk has been cast as the villain on DC Universe’s Doom Patrol live-action series.
Deadline reports he will play Eric Morden, aka Mr. Nobody, a classic comic book foe of DC’s team of outcast superheroes.

A spinoff of Titans, which premieres next month on Warner Bros.’ new streaming service, Doom Patrol centers on misfits — Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man, Elasti-Girl (Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Guerrero) — who have been granted superhuman abilities as a result of horrible accidents. Brought together by the scientist Dr. Niles Caulder, aka The Chief, they’re called into action by Cyborg (Joivan Wade) following the events of Titans Season 1.
Morden history with the team dates back to his introduction in 1964, in DC’s Doom Patrol #86, in which he was a member of the Brotherhood of Evil. He was reintroduced in 1989 as the living shadow Mr. Nobody, who, following experiments by an ex-Nazi, had acquired the ability to drain the sanity from his opponents.

Tudyk is beloved by genre fans for his role as Hoban “Wash” Washburne on the space Western Serenity and in the film Firefly, and for his portrayal of the former Imperial enforcer droid K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He also created and starred in the web series Con Man, and was in the short-lived DC comedy Powerless.
Produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Doom Patrol is expected to debut next year on DC Universe.
