Last month, the Rick and Morty Twitter account released an anime promo, which provided a twist on the show’s signature art style. However, a new fan video takes the idea a step farther, re-imagining some of the series’ most iconic moments to a catchy theme.
The video, which comes from Malec on YouTube, features Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth and many more characters. The art style is somewhat more reminiscent of popular Japanese animes than the one released by the official Twitter account and draws heavily from typical camera movements associated with the style. The re-imagining recreates iconic moments from the show, including Pickle Rick and Armothy, while also inventing new scenes.

Rick and Morty, created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, first premiered on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim back in 2013 and aired three seasons since; of course, as fans will note, the third season took quite a long-time to return. The animated series recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. As a result of the series’ success, Adult Swim has ordered a massive 70 more episodes of the series.
While a premiere date has yet to be unveiled, production is officially underway on Season 4.
