Jennifer Garner Confirms an Alias Reboot is in the Works

As she gears up to make her return to television, Jennifer Garner has confirmed that a reboot of Alias, the show that made her a star, is likely in the works.

According to Garner, there’s talk of bringing Sydney Bristow back to the small screen for the first time in 12 years, but that’s about all she knows. “I’ve heard that there’s an Alias reboot happening, but no one’s talked to me about it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I mean it would be totally different. But if they didn’t have me on as a guest, I would be very, very angry. But I can’t imagine it being that serious yet because I haven’t heard anything about it at all.”

Garner is set to return to television with the miniseries Camping, created for HBO by Girls showrunners Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner. Since Alias wrapped in 2006, Garner has been focused on movies and commercials, appearing in ads for Capital One and STX Entertainment’s Death Wish-style thriller Peppermint this past year.

Alias was created by JJ Abrams and ran for five seasons on ABC from 2001 to 2006. It starred Garner, Michael Vartan, Bradley Cooper and Victor Garber. Cooper went on to bigger and better things as Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy and Garber became a beloved regular on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow as Dr. Martin Stein, aka one half of Firestorm.
