Dredd star Karl Urban recently spoke about his role in the upcoming Mega-City One television spin-off series.
Urban starred in 2012’s Dredd as the titular Judge Dredd. Although the film wasn’t a huge commercial success at the box office, the critical and audience reception of the film has had talk about a potential sequel swirling for years.

Now, the franchise will continue in the form of Mega-City One, a television show set in the same universe. Does that mean Dredd will be showing up, though? During an interview with TrekMovie, Urban spoke about his limited involvement and his excitement about the show’s potential
“I’m not attached to it, although I did have a preliminary round of conversations with them,” said Urban. “I am interested in doing it. There are a lot of great stories to tell there… their idea for Mega-City One is basically to build the show around more rookie judges and young, new judges and Dredd would come in and out and I said that I’ll do it, but it has to be done in a meaningful way.”
Mega-City One is currently being shopped around to a number of networks, including Amazon and Netflix.
