Series star Jason R. Moore, who played the role of Curtis Hoyle in Season 1 and is reprising his role for Season 2, revealed filming has finally wrapped in a post to Instagram.
The Punisher Season 2, which is aiming for a 2019 release, will mark Jon Bernthal’s third outing as the titular vigilante (his first being in Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, the success of which resulted in the first season of his own show). In addition to Bernthal and Moore, Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani) and Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) will also be reprising their roles from Season 1. Furthermore, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen and Annette O’Toole will be joining the show’s cast for Season 2.

While Billy Russo/Jigsaw’s return is very telling, Marvel is still tight-lipped surrounding the exact plot of The Punisher‘s second season. However, during a recent interview, Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada teased, “[The Punisher season two] is just crazy stuff. Crazy stuff. It’s going to be exactly what fans want. And Bernthal, Bernthal is Bernthal, man. He’s a force of nature, the dude.”
Based on the Marvel Comics character created Gerry Conway, John Romita Sr., and Ross Andru, The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/the Punisher. The second season is set to premiere sometime in 2019, but does not yet have an official release date.
