Medical Police: Netflix orders comedy from Children’s Hospital creators
The creative team behind the Emmy Award-winning comedy series Childrens Hospital brings an action-packed thriller, mystery, and love story called Medical Police to Netflix.
The story revolves around two American physicians, played by Erinn Hayes (AP Bio) and Rob Huebel (Transparent). While the two are stationed at a pediatric hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, discover a civilization-threatening virus and are recruited as government agents in a race against time and around the world to find a cure and uncover a dark conspiracy.
In addition to stars Hayes and Huebel, Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Lake Bell (Bojack Horseman), Rob Corddry (Ballers), and Ken Marino (Black Monday) will all have recurring guest star roles.

The series consists of 10 half-hour episodes, and comes from Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Corddry, Krister Johnson, Jonathan Stern, David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer) will all serve as writers and executive producers, with Wain and Bill Benz (Portlandia, Detroiters) directing.
Their prior project, Children’s Hospital, was an irreverent comedy with a twisted take on network medical dramas. The series was produced by Abominable Pictures, The Corddry Company and Warner Bros. Television Group’s Studio 2.0. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Television and was based upon the Webby Award-winning digital series that debuted on TheWB.com in 2008.
