The 'Absolutely Fabulous' actress will get the award at the annual event in Berlin in September.
Absolutely Fabulous actress Joanna Lumley will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at this year's Rose d'Or international television festival in Berlin.
The British actress will receive her award at the 57th Rose d'Or ceremony in Berlin on Sept. 13.
Lumley has won two BAFTA TV awards for her performance as Patsy in BBC sitcom Ab Fab, a role that made her internationally famous. Lumley, who has also appeared in such feature films as The Wolf of Wall Street and Paddington 2, made history this year by becoming the first female host of the BAFTA ceremony.
“We're delighted to welcome Joanna to Berlin and celebrate her incredible career," said Rose d'Or organizer Jeroen Depraetere.
"I can't tell you what it means to me. It's an absolute thrill, something I would never have dreamed of,” said Lumley.
One of the world's oldest television awards, the Rose d'Or honors international TV programming in multiple categories. This year's nominees come from 13 different countries, with the likes of Netflix's The Crown, BBC's Peaky Blinders, German drama Babylon Berlin and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale competing for the top honor of best drama series.
In addition to Lumley's lifetime achievement honor, the Rose d'Or will present an Entertainer of the Year award at this year's ceremony.
