The Next Generation crew is nearly all here!
Actress Marina Sirtis, who played Counselor Deanna Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation, posted to Twitter an image of some of the core cast reuniting for dinner over the weekend. Joining Sirtis is Patrick Stewart (Capt. Jean-Luc Picard), LeVar Burton (Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), Brent Spiner (Lt. Commander Data) and Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf).

Noticeably absent was Jonathan Frakes (Cmdr. William Riker), who appears to be busy working behind the scenes on Star Trek: Discovery:

The reunion, of course, comes after CBS confirmed the rumors that Stewart would be officially reprising his role as Picard in a brand-new series for the CBS All Access streaming service. Details regarding the new series remain sparse for the time being, but could a full-blown The Next Generation reunion happen? Possibly, but it’s too early to assume anything, as Stewart confirmed there are currently no scripts ready for the forthcoming series.
