Castle Rock, which premiered last week on Hulu, has been very well-received by audiences and critics alike. The horror series, inspired by the works of author Stephen King and combining them into a single dark mystery world, has been full of little nods and references to the other works of the prolific writer. However, King believes fans should stop looking for Easter eggs and enjoy Castle Rock for what it is.
The writer posted a message of appreciation on his Twitter account towards the show while reminding fans to obsess a little less over all the references. “CASTLE ROCK is really good, each episode better than the last. But put all that Easter egg stuff aside and just enjoy it on its own terms. The cast is incandescent and they support a story worth telling.” He then followed that up with a cheeky “I can say all that because I didn’t write it. :-)”
