The recent renewals join the already announced series returning to the network for the 2019-2020 broadcast season, including Arrow, Black Lightning, Dynasty, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, Supergirl, Supernatural, Charmed, and Legacies. On top of the returning shows, The CW has six pilots in development, including Batwoman starring Ruby Rose.
“As we begin to plan for the 2019-20 season, we’re thrilled to have this roster of 14 exceptionally creative and distinctive series, including all five first-year shows, as the foundation on which to continue to build the multiplatform future of The CW,” CW president Mark Pedowitz said. “One of our key long-term goals has been to continually add more original programming all year round, especially in midseason and summer, and with these returning shows and the new series we’ll order as we get closer to the May upfront, next season on The CW is shaping up to be our most robust year-round schedule yet.”
Roswell, New Mexico will return for a second season following Season 1’s emotional finale. Jeanie Mason, Nathan Parsons, Tyler Blackburn, and Michael Trevino star in the immigration-themed reboot of the original series. Showrunner Carina Adly MacKenzie and executive producer Julie Plec will return for the second season.
All American is one of many shows on producer Greg Berlanti’s slate, starring Daniel Ezra and inspired by real-life former pro football player Spencer Paysinger. The series will return for a second season and also stars Taye Diggs.
