The live-action cast of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy has finally assembled. After months of anticipation, we now have a first official look at the super-powered siblings that make up the super-team known as the Umbrella Academy.
Gerard Way, who wrote and co-created Dark Horse’s The Umbrella Academy comic book series along with artist Gabriel Bá, shared the first image of all seven lead characters of the television series. Each character is fittingly half-hiding behind a black umbrella, and the white numbers printed on the fabric instantly tell us their respective identities.

Number 1 is the leader of the team, codename Spaceboy; number 2 is nicknamed the Kraken; number 3 is known as the Rumor; number 4 is the Séance; number 5 only goes by Number 5; number 6 is the Horror; and finally, number 7 is Vanya Hargreeves, the White Violin.
All seven children of the Umbrella Academy were born all over the world with extraordinary powers, and they were adopted by a wealthy entrepreneur and scientist named Sir Reginald Hargreeves. These adopted siblings put their powers to the benefit of mankind, in a strange world filled with robot zombies, giant mummies and space aliens.
Dark Horse recently announced that a third volume of the comic book series, titled Hotel Oblivion, is set for release this October.
